Wedding Gown and Accessories: An Inseparable Pair

Can you imagine a wedding gown without the accessories? It will most likely look plain and boring.  So here’s a run-down of essential wedding accessories:

  • Veil – along with the ring and cord, a wedding veil symbolizes the wedding itself. Veils come in various lengths from the traditional ones which is usually about 3 ½ yards long to the shoulder length type.
  • Shoes and Stockings – it’s difficult to find a pair that complements the wedding gown but usually, shoes made of velvet, satin and silk brings a formal, classy and delicate touch to the overall attire.  Shoes with beads, sequins, pearls or crystals will also do but just be sure the shoes fits comfortably on your feet.
  • Jewelry – you should also give some thought as to what pair of earrings, necklace and bracelets (aside from the wedding band/ring) to wear. Some wear family heirlooms, diamonds and pearls or anything that people will notice but will not divert attention from the wedding gown.
  • Headpieces – headpieces can replace the veil if you wish and examples are tiaras, crowns, half-crowns, wreaths and bun wraps.  Headpieces are usually decorated with beads, pearls, crystals or flowers to make them look stunning.
  • Gloves – wearing a pair of gloves is appropriate if your wedding gown is strapless or sleeveless. The shorter the sleeve the longer the glove should be.

So there you go. Remember, give these wedding accessories much thought as you do with your wedding gown.
